Each recovery point is independently rated to 5000kg, so using a single recovery point is acceptable when the recovery situation allows. However, wherever practical, we recommend using a bridle between both recovery points. This helps distribute the load more evenly across the vehicle and reduces stress on each mounting point.
The safest approach will always depend on the specific recovery conditions and your assessment of the situation. For more demanding recoveries, using both recovery points with a bridle provides an additional margin of safety and is generally considered best practice.
