Does this fit my BYD Shark 6?
Yes. The Phantom Series is built specifically for the BYD Shark 6. It mounts straight to your OEM roof rails, or you can use the included rail replacement kit to swap them out entirely. Both mounting systems come in the box.
Will it rust like other roof racks?
No. This is where the Phantom wins. Plenty of platforms hide a steel backbone under alloy bars, which rusts out over time. Ours is 100 percent powder coated alloy, backbone included, so there is no steel anywhere to corrode. Built to handle Aussie conditions long term.
How much can it carry?
It is rated to 365kg static and 60kg dynamic when using the full rail replacement mounting system. Plenty for rooftop tents, recovery gear, and touring loads.
How much higher does it sit than factory?
Barely anything. Mounted to the OEM rails it sits just 5mm above the factory antenna, or 10mm higher if mounting to the factory rail. Low profile and clean.
What is included and what is sold separately?
You get the Phantom Series roof platform, the OEM rail mounting kit, the heavy duty rail replacement kit, all fitting hardware and instructions, and the wind diffuser with a 40 inch light bar cut out. Optional extras sold separately include grab handles, a bottle opener, dual colour rock lights in amber or white, and a 40 inch light bar. The light bar, grab handles, and lights are not included with the base platform.
